Guest performances 2005
This particular program is part of a wider project of the Belgrade
Culture Center entitled "2nd Festival of an
Author - Stanislav Vinaver". It's made up of three segments
linked to Vinaver's keen interest in natural sciences, his art
of translation (he introduced us to Mark Twain's literature),
his love for Belgrade and understanding of it which often came
in the form of observation of the spirit and life of the city.
Themes: "How to Hook on Mathematics", "Fence -
around me, separating, connecting...", "River / View
from a River"...

Cooperation with the "FRida & freD" Museum from
Graz is extended to the year 2005, with a one-month exhibition
of a segment of this Museum’s exponents, adaptable to the area
of the Grand Hall of the Children’s Culture Center Belgrade. The
exhibition with the motto "Hands on - Minds on" will
show the part of the museum collection which comprises exhibits
available for direct communication with the youngest audience.

Compagnie Smafu is a theater company from Austria, doing primarily
the theater of movement. Their visit will be comprised of two
shows for adolescents, and a five-day workshop with teenagers,
ages 15 through 20, with a presentation of the workshop’s final

Among many long-time partners of the Children's Culture Center
Belgrade, there is the cooperation with the Swedish Institute
and the Embassy of Sweden, materialized in the one-week presentation
of Swedish film production for children. The films in question
regard the process of growing up, children's rights, and relations
to the surroundings with the special emphasis on the importance
of nature. After each of the promotions there will be a workshop
whose purpose is to further elaborate the topic uncovered by the
film, as well as to offer the possibility for children's creative
expression on the topic.
The Program will be ended by a presentation of children's products
or their opinions brought about by the films...

The year 2005 represents the beginning of cooperation between
the Children's Culture Center Belgrade and the Art College from
Sofia and Scene High School, through certain types of presentation
of the work of these institutions (exhibitions, animated films
show), presentations of the work of Children’s Culture Center
Belgrade in Sofia, participation of lecturers of these institutions
in the current programs of the Center, and short stays of the
Center’s associates in these institutions...
